Tottenham is one of the clubs looking to make Dusan Vlahovic their player as he develops rapidly at Fiorentina.

The Serbian was one of the top scorers in Serie A last season and his goal-laden campaign saw several teams become interested in him.

He had interest from the likes of Juventus and Atletico Madrid as well, but Fiorentina was able to keep hold of him.

Tottenham’s interest was a strong one too as their new director of football Fabio Paratici had been watching him for Juventus before he left the Italian giants.

They also faced losing Harry Kane in the last transfer window as Manchester City were keen to sign him.

However, they couldn’t get Vlahovic at the end of the day and he remained in Italy.

They could still return for him next summer, especially if they eventually lose Kane.

Whatever fee he was worth this summer will be increased as Todofichajes reports that he is closing in on a new contract.

The report claims that he will extend his current deal until 2025 with a salary of around 5m euros per season.

The new contract will also have a release clause of 80m euros and Spurs will have to pay that if they return for him.
