Inter Milan striker Alexis Sanchez is heading towards the exit door at the end of the season, while Udinese supporters invite him to rejoin the club.

The 35-year-old made his return to the Nerazzurri after spending the last campaign at Olympique Marseille.

But according to Tuttosport via FcInterNews, the Chielean’s second stint with the Serie A leaders will come to an end in June.

The veteran’s contract will expire at the end of the season, and the management has no intention of renewing it.

Therefore, Sanchez will be a free agent for the third summer in a row.

So as the Turin-based newspaper notes, this could spark yet another return to a former club.

The source reveals how Udinese fans pleaded with the Chile star to come back to Friuli for the final chapter of his career.

This ensued after Monday night’s Serie A fixture between the Zebrette and Inter at the Blue Energy Stadium. Alexis came in as a substitute and had a hand in Davide Frattesi’s injury-time winner.

Udinese Fans Urge Inter Milan Striker Alexis Sanchez To Rejoin The Club

The striker enjoyed his first experience in Europe in Udine. He was on the club’s books between 2006 and 2011.

Sanchez then went on to play for some of the continent’s biggest clubs. He had a spell at Barcelona before hitting the peak of his powers at Arsenal.

The player then had a disappointing stint at Man Utd which preceded his arrival at Inter in 2019.

So now, it’s up to the Udinese hierarchy to make this return possible.

This season, Sanchez has contributed with four goals and three assists in 28 appearances across all competitions for Inter.
