UEFA could remove Super League teams from Champions League?

Real Madrid are scheduled to face Chelsea in the Champions League semifinal round on April 27, while Paris Saint-Germain are set to play against Manchester City in the other semifinal match the following day. Those games are now in doubt, however, after the official announcement of the breakaway Super League on Sunday evening.

"[Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Chelsea] are going out, and I expect that to happen on Friday," Danish FA chairman and UEFA executive committee member Jesper Moller told Danish outlet DR Sport on Monday, per Mike Goodman of CBS Sports. "And then you have to see how to finish the Champions League."

Real Madrid, Manchester City, Chelsea, AC Milan, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur all declared on Sunday they're founding members of the new Super League. Arsenal and Manchester United qualified for the UEFA Europa League semifinals set to take place later this month but could be expelled from that competition due to their involvement in the Super League that has generated massive amounts of negative feedback from supporters and observers.

It's unknown how UEFA would handle the competitions or crown tournament champions if teams are kicked out later this week.
