Celtic face Real Betis tomorrow night in Matchday One of the Europa League. Ange Postecoglou’s side will be hoping that they can make an impact against a top La Liga side and potentially bring a result back to Scotland.

Many supporters have travelled to Spain, even without a Celtic allocation as the City of Seville is one that many remember, thanks to the 2003 Final. Back then, Henrik & Co lined up in the Hoops but tomorrow, Celtic will be forced to wear their Third Kit due to a clash with Betis’ Green and White stripes. Although, bizarrely, UEFA have had to make a decision because Betis actually dedicated their design to Celtic. As a result, they have decided that Betis must line up in their away kit. Their third kit is a blue number and this is what UEFA have decided they must wear.

In a group that features Celtic, Ferencvaros, Betis and Bayer Leverkusen, you would have thought that the Europa League would be more accommodating to teams wanting to wear their primary colours on the European stage.
