Where Tottenham Hotspur end up finishing the 2023/24 Premier League season will have a bearing on a number of things.

Prize money, which will help to advance new signings – or not – as the case may be, european football next season if they able to keep up their current form – and more.

Whichever position they ultimately land on, Ange Postecoglou can give himself and his staff a big pat on the back for the job that they’ve done in what is the Australian’s first manager’s job in the English top-flight.

Tottenham need ‘club trained’ players

According to the Daily Express , should Spurs manage to end the campaign in the European places, they could be forced to re-sign their former defender, Kyle Walker-Peters.

The outlet note that, at present, Tottenham don’t have the required amount of ‘club trained’ players in their squad.

UEFA regulations are, apparently, that each club in European football, must have at least four in their 25-man squad, and Spurs currently just have three in Oliver Skipp, Alfie Whiteman and Brandon Austin.

Clearly, Ange Postecoglou will need a bigger and better squad than the one that they have this season, and whilst Walker-Peters might not necessarily be his first-choice, it’ll be difficult for the North Londoners to try and circumvent the rules.
