Bobby "King" Green finds himself without an opponent after Dan Hooker withdrew from UFC Austin due to an arm injury. Their December 2 showdown is likely to be rescheduled or cancelled altogether.
However, a small number of lightweight contenders have thrown their hats into the ring to face Green on short notice.
Rafael Dos Anjos Bids for a Shot at Bobby Green
Former UFC lightweight champ Rafael Dos Anjos was quick to put his name forward. In a post on X, "RDA" exclaimed, "Hey Bobby Green, Austin is [my] backyard. Let's scrap."
He followed up proposing a catchweight bout:
"I can make 165/170 let’s do it."
Jared Gordon Demands a Bobby Green Rematch, Paul Felder Agrees
"Run it back," declared Jared Gordon in a post on X. "Flash" and Green fought back in April, the bout was scored a no-contest after Green scored a flash knockout after a clash of heads.
UFC commentator Paul Felder agreed that the Gordon vs. Green rematch is the fight to make:
"This is the answer I think for green. Both guys were just getting started when they fought. Jared coming off a huge win and still in shape."

Lightweight threat Terrance McKinney admitted it "would be an honor to throw down with King, but every torch must be passed down."
