Union Berlin have reportedly set their asking price for Robin Gosens who has recently emerged as a transfer target for Lazio.

The left wingback spent six years in Serie A between Atalanta and Inter Milan before making a return to his native country of Germany last summer. On a personal level, the 29-year-old is enjoying a decent campaign, contributing with seven goals and two assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.

However, Union Berlin have been enduring a complicated season. While they managed to steady the ship following a mid-season managerial change, it remains a campaign to forget for the German capital side. Therefore, Gosens could opt for a change of scenery in the Summer and would relish a Serie A return.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), the Biancocelesti’s sporting director Angelo Fabbiani has made first contact with Union Berlin. The Bundesliga side has reportedly set its price at 15 million euros, which is slightly higher than the 13M they splashed to sign the player last summer.

The Roman newspaper expects the coming weeks to be decisive on this front, as we may learn if Lazio will succeed or not on this front. The player’s contract with Union Berlin is valid until the summer of 2028. The German international’s prowess in the wingback position renders him a perfect fit for Igor Tudor’s tactical system.
