On Wednesday morning, PUMA announced the signing of the United States Men’s National team and Juventus star Weston McKennie. The Midfielder joins PUMA’s growing roster of talented soccer players as one of the new faces of the FUTURE silo.

Hailing from Texas, McKennie honed his soccer skills at FC Dallas’ youth academy. He quickly advanced through the ranks, showcasing his exceptional talent. McKennie then made his senior debut for the USMNT in 2017 and has since helped the team win the CONCACAF Nations League in 2021 and 2023 and received the U.S. Soccer Male Player of the Year award in 2020.

After joining Juventus permanently for the 20-21 season, McKennie contributed to the club’s victory in the 2020–21 Coppa Italia – becoming the first U.S. international to play in and win the Italian competition.

“We are thrilled to welcome Weston McKennie as the latest soccer athlete to join the PUMA family,” said Allison Giorgio, Vice President Marketing at PUMA North America. “Weston’s versatility and exceptional skills on the pitch have earned him incredible wins throughout his career. We are excited to support Weston on the pitch and work together to continue to grow the sport in North America while simultaneously supporting his personal passions and causes off the pitch.”

McKennie has become well known for his versatility on the pitch and as a leader in style and fashion off the pitch, he admires PUMA’s design and innovation in both performance and lifestyle categories.

“I am excited to join PUMA, a brand that has consistently pushed innovation in the sport for more than 60 years to ensure athletes have the best products to perform their best. I have been playing in the FUTURE boot for the last several months already and feel confident that I will reach new levels alongside PUMA. I also look forward to joining my fellow USMNT teammates and friends, Christian and Yunus, as we prepare for the 2024 COPA América,” said Weston McKennie. “Off the pitch, PUMA’s ability to merge culture and sports is something I want to explore further.”

Just in time for the 2024 COPA América, McKennie will join USMNT teammates and PUMA athletes Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah this summer to conquer the pitch. In 2023 PUMA announced the multi-year partnership with governing body CONMEBOL and the brand's sponsorship of COPA América among other key tournaments.
