Valencia coach Ruben Baraja was delighted with victory over Almeria.

Los Che won 2-1 thanks to goals from Hugo Duro and Roman Yaremchuk.

Baraja said: "Without a doubt it has been a contested and complex match at times. We started very well with the 2-0 and with a good disposition. Finishing and putting yourself ahead always helps.

"We knew that Almera has competed at the Camp Nou and at the Bernabu. It has arguments and we know that the game depended on scoring the third in the second half. The goal raised doubts in us, but with the penalty, the team settled down and the people pushed in the final half.

"The feeling is that it was a very difficult game and it is very valuable to add three. I am very happy because the players' efforts have been rewarded."

On Yaremchuk's match, he added: "Roman was in good shape until he got sick. When we have played with two strikers at home we have been under pressure. They have done a good job, they have coordinated well. If you win and your two strikers score a goal, well, it's positive. It's very important that your two forwards score goals."
