Villarreal coach Quique Setien was delighted with their 2-0 win against Cadiz.

Nicolas Jackson struck both goals for the win on Wednesday night.

Setien later said: We are satisfied with the three points, although we didn't play our best game. We won and even had chances to widen the gap on the scoreboard, but I have to recognise that Cdiz put in a great performance and deserved to score.

There have been games in which we have deserved much more than what we have achieved and today it was the other way around. It's not that we didn't play a good game, it's just that I like to have more control and we could have done better. In any case, I give credit for the win. We won against an opponent who are playing for their lives."

Setin also praised Jackson and goalkeeper Pepe Reina, who reached 1,000 games as a professional footballer on the night: Nico is a constant threat and gives us a lot in the game, he's in an exceptional moment, while Reina was brilliant."
