Tension escalated in the Rome derby; players clashed several times in the second half, and Paulo Dybala mocked Matteo Guendouzi by showing his shin pad, which has a picture of Argentina winning the World Cup.

It was a tense Derby della Capitale at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday, which saw Roma emerge victorious for the first time in two years thanks to a Gianluca Mancini winner in the first half.

Lazio coach Igor Tudor had hoped for a game without controversy, but tension escalated in the second half, forcing referee Marco Guida to book five players plus Roma coach De Rossi from minute 73.

Dybala and Guendouzi argued several times, causing at least two clashes between Roma and Lazio players. Lazio winger Pedro was also involved and received a yellow card for pushing and shouting angrily at Leandro Paredes.

Tension continued after the final whistle, and a picture shows Dybala celebrating in front of Guendouzi, who then pushed Paredes again. The ex-Arsenal midfielder was also seen urging a Roma player to meet him inside the tunnel with unmistakable gestures.
