Superstar singer Ed Sheeran who has sold millions of copies worth of songs over the years was recently at Stamford Bridge to record a very emotional tribute to Jamal Edwards, a Chelsea fan and Music pioneer who died at 31 of cardiac arrhythmia last year.

Sheeran’s tribute mentioned Edwards’ “good deeds” and “infectious smile” as he sung alone in the darkness of Stamford Bridge at night.

Jamal spoke to Trevoh Chalobah in 2021 during Black history month about what it meant to him to represent and be a role model for young black aspiring footballers. In 2019, Jamal was a director of a music video titled “Style and Swag” as Musician Capo Lee rapped a song for Chelsea’s Youtube channel, the music video and song featured Chelsea players Ruben Loftus Cheek, N’golo Kante and Callum Hudson Odoi.
