Watch: France's Kylian Mbappe checks on fan after drilling him with warmup shot

France star forward Kylian Mbappe jogged over to check on a fan he accidentally hit with a shot in warmups on Wednesday before the team's World Cup semifinal against Morocco.

Fox Sports' Jenny Taft spoke with the fan later on during the match and found out that he got a bloody nose from the incident. He was looking only for two things in return, and all would be forgiven.

France defeated Morocco 2-0 and will face Argentina in the World Cup Finals on Sunday. Morocco will play Croatia in the consolation match on Saturday.

Mbappe's team got on the board early, as Theo Hernandez found the back of the net in the fifth minute before substitute Randal Kolo Muani put in an important insurance goal in the 79th minute. While the Paris Saint-Germain star didn't provide any points on Wednesday, he's recorded five goals and two assists in six matches in the French's run in Qatar.

According to Michael Dominski of The Athletic, France is the fifth defending champion to reach the finals in their next World Cup and the first nation to do so since Brazil in 1998. The only countries to win consecutive World Cups are Italy (1934, 1938) and Brazil (1958, 1962).
