Paris Saint-Germain headed to the Stade Vélodrome for the latest edition of Le Classique against Olympique de Marseille. One of the players that needed to hit the ground running for the capital club to come out with a victory on the road is Neymar Jr.

The 29-year-old played 83 minutes, but the Brazil international didn’t factor much. Neymar did have three key passes but only won two of ten ground duels and missed a scoring opportunity.

After the match, manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke to the media at his press conference, where he provided his analysis on Neymar’s game against Marseille.

“I am very satisfied with Neymar’s game; he sacrificed a lot for the team. He had just returned from a period of inactivity after playing for Brazil. But I am very happy with his effort; his involvement and a good performance would, of course, come from his good form,” Pochettino said.
