Dejan Kulusevski capped a man-of-the-match performance on Friday night by scoring his fifth Premier League goal of the season to seal a 2-0 win for Tottenham Hotspur at Nottingham Forest.

Kulusevski learned earlier this year that his girlfriend Eldina Ahmic was pregnant and he wanted to perform a goal celebration dedicated to her and their future daughter.

His plan was to stuff a ball inside his Spurs jersey to resemble a baby bump but teammate Richarlison almost ruined the routine by booting the ball into the crowd.

This resulted in a hilarious scene that saw Kulusevski haplessly looking around for his prop.

Richarlison then appeared to remember Kulusevski's plan and quickly grabbed another ball from the side of the field and handed it to his teammate, who made his fingers into a heart shape and then blew a kiss down the lens of a nearby camera.

Asked about his celebration after Friday's game, a smiling Kulusevski told Tottenham's media team: "My girlfriend didn't want me to do it that way, so she will kill me when I get home!

"But I felt like you never know when you are going to score, so you have got to do it and I hope she gets happy because I did a heart for her.

"We are so happy, honestly. That's the best thing in life. We cannot wait."

Kulusevski later revealed that his first child is due to arrive in April.

Fortunately, Kulusevski's partner did not kill him when he got home.

Instead, she posted a photo of her man's celebration and captioned it with the words: "Our family is growing, see you soon baby girl".
