Tottenham Hotspur made a statement in their pursuit for a top-four spot by securing a commanding 4-0 victory against Aston Villa last Sunday.

During Spurs’ otherwise smooth match, there was a moment of worry around the 84th minute when goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario went down after bravely blocking Zaniolo’s shot, leading to Zaniolo landing on him.

Vicario appeared to suffer a blow to his head, prompting immediate attention from the medical staff.

A new footage from the game showed club captain Son urging Vicario to leave the pitch due to the potential head injury, but Vicario insisted on continuing despite the South Korean’s concern.

The South Korean, seemingly furious with his keeper, could be seen punching him thrice on the shoulders in annoyance.

Son’s frustration with Vicario’s decision led to intervention from Yves Bissouma to calm the situation.

Son’s anger was out of worry as he wanted Vicario to go off due to the head injury.

Fortunately, the Italian was back on his feet a few minutes later.

After the match, both players embraced, with Vicario kissing Son on the forehead
