Recent weeks of excitement in the transfer market for Chelsea have made it easy to forget that perhaps out most important bit of business was done a while ago, when we snatched Raheem Sterling from Man City.

The winger made an impressive debut today against Everton, doing all of the running, pressing and dribbling that we were hoping for when we signed him.

He even had a goal disallowed, rightly it turned out, but it was a promising sign that he can still get the poacher’s goals he got at Man City.
