Rangers manager Philippe Clement appears to be feeling the pressure of the title race with his latest comments. The Belgian, who called his side moral winners after a draw, was unhappy with Brendan Rodgers ahead of next weekend’s Glasgow Derby.

In his interview with Sky Sports after the game, Clement botched what was clearly a planned retort saying that “we will have some fun also”.

Although, when he went into the media conference, he appeared to be more upset by the comments and labelled them disrespectful.

Rodgers didn’t miss with his comments. He is a seasoned manager who has run the race til the end before. The Irishman knew that his comments would prickle the other manager and he fell for it hook, line and sinker. The most important thing, however, is ensuring that Celtic make it another great day.

It’s worth mentioning that Clement has repeatedly made disrespectful comments about Celtic since assuming the Rangers managerial position. Clearly he is struggling to deal with the fact that his side had a cushion and they let it slide and now need to come and get three points at Celtic Park.
