Germany goalkeeper Manuel Neuer can see Jurgen Klopp eventually taking charge of Bayern Munich.

Klopp is leaving his manager's job at Liverpool in June.

Neuer, 37, believes Klopp could join Bayern in the future, despite his past with Borussia Dortmund.

"I think it depends on him (Klopp). I don't think FC Bayern have anything against it, because he is a famous, very good, experienced, tactically wise coach who has gained a lot of respect from all footballers and athletes. I think he is definitely a potential candidate who could work for Bayern at some point," the Bayern goalkeeper told Bild.

"If he wants to do it, that is of course his business. Maybe he wants to take a break first. Maybe he no longer wants the day-to-day operations - I can imagine him possibly becoming the national team captain one day. It is, of course, mainly up to him."

Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel is under pressure with Bayer Leverusen leading the Bundesliga table.
