Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo.

The 24-year-old has established himself as a key player for the French club and his performances have attracted the attention of multiple Premier League clubs.

According to a report from GFFN, Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on the player along with Tottenham.

The French international defender has now responded to links with the three clubs and revealed that he is fully focused on the task at hand, and he is not distracted by the rumours of a potential move. Todibo also claimed that he has not decided on his future yet, and he will communicate his decision when the time is right.

“It’s always like that. During winter there are requests. I’m very calm about it all. I am at Nice and we’re having a great season. I don’t have my head elsewhere; if I did it would be difficult for me personally and for the group too. I’m at Nice, I feel really good. We’ll see what happens in the summer but we’re not there yet.”

Spurs decided to sign Radu Dragusin during the January transfer window and they have three quality central defenders at their disposal now. Signing Todibo could complete the defensive unit for the foreseeable future.

They will need multiple quality players at their disposal if they want to fight on all fronts. The Frenchman should prove to be a quality acquisition for them. The opportunity to move to the Premier League will be an attractive option for the player as well. He would get to showcase his qualities at a high level.

Meanwhile, Manchester United and Chelsea need defensive reinforcements as well and it remains to be seen whether they can win the race for his signature. Tottenham are best-placed to secure Champions League qualification out of the three clubs and therefore they could have edge in the transfer race. The 24-year-old might prefer to join a club in the Champions League.
