West Ham United captain Kurt Zouma has expressed his relief at the club finally getting a win in the Premier League.

The Hammers snapped their three-match Premier League losing streak at the weekend.

A 3-2 win over Nottingham Forest was hard-fought and had to be earned, which only increased Zouma's post-game delight.

That was lively," Zouma told the club's media.

The most important thing was to win, especially after three defeats on the bounce, we had to react and I think we did well today, especially in the final period. We were 2-1 down and came back and scored the third one.

The Premier League is tough because all the teams can play football and can hurt any of the other teams, and I think today I would say this victory was important.

I think we gave our all in the last 30 minutes because we knew we had to win the game, especially for the fans as well, because they've been supporting us throughout everything, so we wanted to win this for them as well.

Like I said, we had lost three on the bounce which is not possible for this West Ham team with the quality that we have, so it's good to get the win today before the break, for the head as well."
