West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez was delighted scoring in victory over SC Freiburg.

The 2-0 win sees West Ham reach the Europa League round of 16.

Alvarez said: "Very important for us. We are top of the group and don't have to play two more games so this was very important for us.

"We knew it before the game and I think we played very good. It feels always special when it's your first goal with a new club. Especially to do it at home with the supporters.

"I'm so happy for Mohammed Kudus to show his value. We know each other's movements and his intentions from playing together at Ajax."
