West Ham midfielder Edson Alvarez has hailed their season start.

The Mexico international has had a big influence on their early form.

We're in a very special moment," lvarez told whufc.com. Not just for me but for all the players and the staff, and the fans too. We're super happy and we want to keep doing the good things. This is just the beginning.

I feel good. I have excellent teammates on my side and they have my back. The communication between us is very clear and I'm super happy with my performances so far. But I also know I can bring more. I just want to keep working for myself and for the team, and for the fans."

He added, We showed against Luton that, when we have the ball, we can play well. We need to be a bit more brave with the ball, I think, and I enjoyed our football against Luton. When we needed to work hard too, we did that, so we're happy with the result."
