Tottenham Hotspur’s star forward and captain, Heung-min Son, maintains his exceptional performance, shouldering the added responsibility of leading the club’s attack following Harry Kane’s departure.

The South Korean has been Spurs’ leading goalscorer in the ongoing campaign, tallying 14 goals and 8 assists in 24 Premier League appearances.

Former Tottenham striker Darren Bent has been full of praise of the left-winger’s quality, even as he enters his thirties.

The pundit believes that the 31-year-old is worth around £80 million, in contrast to the forward’s current market value of €50 million on Transfermarkt.

Recent rumors indicate that Saudi Pro League’s prominent club Al-Ittihad is preparing to make a significant move in the transfer market this summer, eyeing the acquisition of Son.

The former Bayer Leverkusen player, who has less than 18 months remaining on his contract with Spurs, set to expire on June 30 of the following year, could attract bids of around £70 million or £80 million, as suggested by Darren Bent.

Speaking to talkSport, he said (quotes via TBR):

“Far too good not to win anything. Way too good. I don’t know [why no clubs have come in for him]. You’d have to pay £70m or £80m. What a player.”

With the distinction of being one of only six Premier League players to register at least 50+ goals and 50+ assists since November 2018, Son undoubtedly justifies the mentioned amount for his world-class calibre.
