The Vancouver Whitecaps acquired midfielder Ralph Priso from the Colorado Rapids on Tuesday in exchange for a first-round draft pick and a third-round selection in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft.

The Rapids also will receive $150,000 in conditional 2025 General Allocation Money (GAM). The first-round pick will be the later one in the selection order between the Whitecaps' own selection, or one they acquired from Los Angeles FC.

"We are pleased to welcome Ralph to Vancouver," Whitecaps sporting director Axel Schuster said. "Already at his young age, Ralph has a lot of experience during his time with Colorado and Toronto. We will look forward to helping him continue his development, as he will bring additional competition to our midfield group."

Priso, 21, joined the Rapids via trade with Toronto FC in July 2022. The Toronto native had a pair of assists in 32 regular-season matches (14 starts) with Colorado.

"I'm excited to be here in Vancouver and play for this historic club," Priso said. "This is a great step in my career. I'm looking forward to learning, getting to know my team members, and helping the club in any way I can while being back on home soil."

Priso has two goals and four assists in 57 career matches (26 starts) with Toronto FC and the Rapids.
