Neil Lennon reacted aggressively to a question following his side’s second defeat in three days and it’s certainly something of a tough watch.

His Omonia Nicosia side lost heavily (3-0) in the Europa League group stages opener against FC Sheriff. And given the other two sides in this group are Manchester United and Real Sociedad then it looks like being a punishing experience for the Cypriot side.

It was back to domestic football at the weekend with an away match against Apollon Limassol. Lennon’s side got off to a great start, with Bruno Felipe scoring from the pentalty spot with a quarter of an hour on the clock but that was as good as it got for the former Celtic manager.

The home side leveled before the interval before grabbing a second, and winning goal in the closing stages. That led to the question on his players’ character (including ex-Celt Adam Matthews who started and Gary Hooper who was an unused substitute) that Neil Lennon took great exception to. Have a listen…

Next up for Neil Lennon and his Omonia side is a trip to Spain to take on Real Sociedad in the Europa League and the former Celtic boss will clearly be looking for a reaction from his players against what looks like a much higher standard of opposition.
