The UEFA Champions League is now in the semifinal stage, with Paris Saint-Germain facing Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich taking on Real Madrid. While any of the four clubs can advance to the final, one journalist wants the PSG-Real Madrid matchup.

PSG defeated FC Barcelona to advance and now all that stands in their way is Dortmund, who eliminated Atletico Madrid. Both teams are familiar with each other since they played two games in the group stage this season.

For many, Real Madrid is the favorite after eliminating Manchester City, the other tournament favorite, via a penalty kick shootout. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich moved past Arsenal, another top Premier League team fighting for the league title.

Two matches separate a potential PSG-Real Madrid final at Wembley Stadium in London, and Onda Cera journalist Fernando Burgos believes this matchup would be a fitting way for Kylian Mbappé to end his career with his hometown club.

“I believe the world of football deserves a final between Real Madrid and Mbappé’s PSG,” Burgos told Téléfoot (h/t Le10Sport). “For his last match with Paris, because he’s going to sign with us, it would be incredible.”

The two German clubs will have a lot to say whether this final happens or not. There’s also the possibility that PSG can face Bayern Munich in a rematch of the 2020 Champions League final so that matchup could be a redemption game for Mbappé, who didn’t have the best performance in that game.
