Everton star Richarlison is reportedly facing an FA investigation after throwing a flare into the stands at Goodison Park.

Richarlison was the hero as relegation-threatened Everton hosted Chelsea, with the Brazilian having scored less than 60 seconds into the second-half to secure all three points for Frank Lampard’s men.

However, in the midst of all the celebrations, it appears as though he got a little carried away. Richarlison picked up a flare that had been thrown onto the pitch and lobbed it back into the stands.

Unsurprisingly, reports now suggest that the FA will investigate Richarlison’s actions and determine if he has broken any rules which ought to be punished with a suspension, fine or both.

While Richarlison was just in the process of celebrating a HUGE goal for his club and there is no suggestion anyone was hurt in the incident, you can’t go around throwing flares into the stands.

If Richarlison is to land himself in hot water with the FA, Lampard will be praying that it is merely a fine and he remains available for selection. He’ll no doubt be crucial in the end of season run-in.
