Wolves captain Max Kilman praised fellow teammate Mario Lemina after their 3-0 win against Everton.

Wolves stunned the Toffees via goals from Kilman, Cunha and Craig Dawson. Lemina lost his father before kickoff.

The skipper later said: "We set out our goal to win the game and we've done that. Now we need to rest up, enjoy the new year and go again.

"That game was for [Mario Lemina]. He has been brilliant and it's really tough what he's going through. He deserved it.

"I'm happy to score of course but the main thing is the win and the clean sheet. We have a long way to go and we can still improve so we just need to keep going."

Team-mate Matheus Cunha added: "We work a lot and we enjoy to play together. We showed that on the pitch. The three points was very good.

"The goals come more easily when you enjoy to play with your team-mates and give a little more support. Every victory is a good feeling for the group."
