Wolves are moving forward in talks with the agent of AC Milan winger Rafael Leao and could soon make an offer, according to a report.

Last season was very much a tale of two halves for Leao as he had a great run of form up until the Christmas break, but struggled in 2021 as he was unable to get back into a rhythm either playing as a left winger or as a centre-forward where he started a few games due to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Mario Mandzukic’s injuries.

This has led to speculation that he could be sold for the right price this summer, and Wolverhampton have put Leao in their sights according to il Corriere dello Sport (via NotizieMilan). The Rossoneri would like only one left winger to leave at most, so the Portuguese could stay if Hauge is sold.

However, Wolves advancing in talks with Leao’s agent Jorge Mendes and could make an offer to Paolo Maldini and co. in the coming days to test their resolve.
