Kenan Yildiz praised Juventus coach Igor Tudor after a 2-0 win over Udinese: ‘We’ve been happy since he arrived.’

Yildiz inspired Juventus’ 2-0 victory against Udinese on Sunday, resulting in the Man of the Match thanks to his two assists for Nico Gonzalez and Dusan Vlahovic.

The Bianconeri are still fighting for a Champions League spot, but they hold their fate in their hands, being just one point above Roma with one game remaining.

Tudor was appointed in March to replace Thiago Motta and has won four games from eight, drawn three and lost once.

“He gave us energy, it was important for us. Since he arrived, we’ve been happy, we’ve been working hard,” Yildiz told DAZN via JuveFC.

Yildiz thanks Juventus teammates

The Turkish striker returned to action on Sunday after serving a two-game ban against Bologna and Lazio as he had been sent off against Monza for violent conduct.

“Everyone helped me mentally. I’m very sorry for the team and the fans, these two weeks have been long for me,” he said.

“Nothing is over, we have another final with Venezia. We just have to look there, let’s win this match.

“I’m happy with this season, but I want to improve in everything. I’m always looking ahead,” Yildiz continued.

“The Number 10 jersey doesn’t add any pressure. I play as usual, I’m happy to be wearing it.”

Yildiz was given the Juventus No.10 at the start of 2024-25. This season, he has scored eight goals and provided seven assists in 47 appearances across all competitions.

Juventus also gave Yildiz a contract extension last summer, which means his deal will only expire in 2029.
