Kenan Yildiz will soon extend his contract with Juventus for the second time in a calendar year. He will then part ways with the agency Leaderbrocks, which negotiated the deal, due to divergences about the future plans. The new pact will run until 2028, Fabrizio Romano relayed (via SOSFanta).

According to TuttoSport, the Bianconeri wish to anoint him as their next no.10 eventually. The legendary jersey number currently belongs to Paul Pogba, who has been suspended for four years for doping.

Yildiz has featured 25 times with Juventus so far, scoring 3 goals. He has been at the club since joining on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2022. He has appeared on 46 occasions with the U-19 and Next Gen sides before becoming a regular with the first team.

The 18-year-old has mostly been playing second fiddle to Federico Chiesa in recent months. Coach Massimiliano Allegri hasn’t found a way to utilize them together consistently. The Italian attacker has been healthy as of late, so the Turkish prodigy has come off the bench in eight straight fixtures. His last goal dates back to early January in the Coppa Italia.

Our Take on Juventus and Yildiz

An inconsistent role is somewhat natural in his first real season among the pros, and their previous skid didn’t leave much room to experiment or be daring. The priority for the future, which should influence their coaching decision, has to be to give him regular minutes in his natural position.
