Inter Milan youngster Mattia Zanotti is reportedly on the verge of completing a loan switch to St Gallen.

The 20-year-old is a youth product of Brescia who made the switch to the Nerazzurri back in 2017.

The right-back has been rising through the club’s ranks and become one of the most promising talents in the club’s Primavera squad.

He also made a couple of appearances with the senior squad last season. He made his debut against Lecce in a late cameo. He then featured in the 6-0 demolition of Hellas Verona for 25 minutes.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via FcInterNews, Zanotti will now seal a loan switch from Inter Milan to St Gallen.

This a midtable club in the Swiss Pro League. They finished their campaign in sixth place last season (the league consists of 10 teams).

This experience should gain the young fullback some valuable experience. If he manages to impress, he might earn a regular spot in the first team for the 2024/25 campaign.

The Nerazzurri have already showed their trust in the youngster’s talent by extending his contract until 2027 just days before his expected departure.

The Italy U20 starlet primarily features as a right-back or right wingback. But he can also operate on the left flank.
