Bayern Munich announced that Thomas Tuchel would leave at the end of the season, and Zinedine Zidane is among the top candidates to replace him, but he’d be equally keen on managing Juventus if possible, Sport1 informs (via Tuttomercatoweb).

According to the outlet, which spoke with a close friend of the gaffer, he’d return on the bench only for the Bavarians, the Bianconeri, or the French national team. He seemed set to take over Les Bleus after Qatar 2022. However, the Federation had a late change of heart and kept Didier Deschamps.

Zidane was linked to Juventus a couple of times in the past, but their respective timings rarely aligned, and it’s not certain they will this summer either, as the Old Lady, unlike Bayern Munich, might still confirm their current boss.

The legendary no.10 hasn’t helmed a team since 2021 after ending his second spell with Real Madrid. He’s reportedly disinterested in coaching in the Premier League.

Our Take on Bayern Munich, Zidane, and Juventus

It had been a while since he had been attached to the Bianconeri, basically since the ousting of Andrea Agnelli. Their former president surely contemplated hiring him in the past but had just one real shot and failed. His prestige hasn’t waned yet, even though he’s been without a team for a long time. His previous ties with them wouldn’t hurt. However, it’d be odd if they went with another super expensive manager should they move on from Allegri.
