Cristian Chivu is preparing to rotate his Inter Milan side for Sunday’s Serie A trip to Hellas Verona, with three changes expected from the team that beat Fiorentina.
According to Sky Sport, via FCInterNews, the coach is planning one adjustment per department as he manages the squad ahead of a busy schedule.
In defence, Stefan de Vrij is in line to return to the starting eleven, taking charge at the centre of the back three.
On the left flank, Carlos Augusto is expected to replace Federico Dimarco, offering more defensive balance and physicality down the wing.
Furthermore, Ange-Yoan Bonny looks set to start in attack alongside Lautaro Martinez, continuing his strong form after recent performances.
Players likely to keep their places include Yann Sommer in goal, Akanji and Bastoni in defence.
In midfield, Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, and Sucic look set to stay in the XI.
Inter look to pick up where they left off against Fiorentina, with a comfortable 3-0 win at San Siro.
However, last weekend saw the Nerazzurri slip up in a key battle against Antonio Conte’s Napoli.
It was a heavy loss and, therefore, Chivu’s side did well to bounce back against La Viola midweek.
