Every manager has their own ideas, we must allow Wilfried Nancy to introduce his ideas and give him our full support to help make him a success at Celtic…

After falling to defeat in his first game in charge, the hysterical backlash over Wilfried Nancy has continued as both the SMSM, and sadly an element of the Celtic support ramp up their agenda towards the Frenchman.

Ridiculed over his philosophy

Some have ridiculed him over his philosophy, most notably his ‘eye catching’ tactics board which was on full display to the watching world in Sunday’s live SKY TV clash.

But Wilfried like most modern day coaches has a different approach to the game, and that has to respected, especially as he’s just in the door and still to fully get acquainted with his playing squad.

Likewise from a players point of view, as they too are just getting accustomed to a new system, and there will naturally be a teething process until it all fully clicks into place.

Yes, it’s not ideal as it’s mid-season, and in the midst of a vital run of fixtures, but Wilfried deserves a chance to get his ideas across, and we as supporters must allow him to do this without making his job even harder by putting him under unnecessary pressure.

Nancy denied fan interaction

Wilfried Nancy spoke to the media as Celtic manager for the first time on Friday, with the club deciding to ban the Celtic fan media a few hours before the scheduled media conference at Lennoxtown, so the new manager was denied the opportunity to answer the questions that the Celtic support wants answered.

Some nonsense story about protest posters

Then ahead of his debut against Hearts at Celtic Park on Sunday, the Celtic support was attacked disgracefully in the Sunday Mail by the Celtic Board with some nonsense story about protest posters being displayed across Glasgow – James Forrest from The Celtic Blog on his podcast last night mentioned that his dad has seen the exact same posters in Castlemilk with James asking which Celtic director lives near there. Well worth a listen.
