David Raya (£5.5m) – West Ham vs Arsenal

After a run of seven games without a clean sheet, David Raya successfully kept one against Nottingham Forest last week as Arsenal beat them 3-0. The returns of Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori were both instrumental to this.

If Mikel Arteta sticks to a backline of William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, Timber, and Calafiori against West Ham, the Gunners will come away with three points and a clean sheet. Declan Rice’s return to the starting lineup will add more defensive steel to the team.

Raya was largely untested against Forest; this could be the case again this weekend. West Ham’s attackers haven’t been prolific this season, and their woes might continue against Arsenal.

Andre Onana (£5.1m) – Manchester United vs Everton

Andre Onana leads the race for the Golden Glove with the highest number of clean sheets in the league. Consequently, he has become one of the most in-demand FPL players this season. Manchester United’s next opponent, Everton, have scored just ten goals. The Red Devils could make things more difficult for the visiting team’s attackers if their “excellent” keeper continues his form.

Sean Dyche’s men will try to use their physicality to beat Onana and the United defence. If they can cope with that, a clean sheet is on the cards.

Matz Sels (£4.7m) – Nottingham Forest vs Ipswich Town – A Cost-Effective Option for Gameweek 13

Nottingham Forest suffered their second successive league loss last week, beaten 3-0 by Arsenal. However, this shouldn’t discourage FPL contestants from bringing Matz Sels into their Gameweek 13 squad.

Sels has kept four clean sheets and has a good chance of getting his fifth when Ipswich Town visit the City Ground. The Tractor Boys have been sluggish in attack so far this season and thus might be forced to work hard to trouble Sels.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be eager for his team to return to winning ways and Sels’ performance will be crucial for that. At just £4.7m, the Belgian is a better option than other high-profile names and will allow the FPL players to go for expensive options in other positions.
