Gian Piero Gasperini expects ‘an entertaining match’ between Atalanta and Roma, with a joke reassuring fans on the fitness levels of Ademola Lookman.
It kicks off at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT, 20.45 CET).
This is a potentially decisive moment in the race for Champions League qualification, especially after Lazio and Juventus drew 1-1.
It also means that if Atalanta were to lose, their lead from fourth place would be reduced to just two points.
“We have been in this position for many months, now we are down to the decisive final three games, but we’ll try to secure our status straight away,” Gasperini told DAZN.
“What Roma have done over the last few months was there for all to see. They have defensive solidity, but also the capacity to always score goals.
“We know them well and will face them with our own characteristics. I think it’s going to be an entertaining match.”
There is an injury crisis for La Dea to deal with, because Isak Hien is suspended, with Juan Cuadrado, Sead Kolasinac, Marco Palestra, Giorgio Scalvini and Gianluca Scamacca injured.
They also know Ademola Lookman, Stefan Posch and Odilon Kossounou are not at 100 per cent either, but two of them start anyway.
How long can Lookman last today?
“Oh 120 minutes, he can do extra time, if needed,” joked Gasperini.
