Inter Milan could explore a swap deal involving Yann Bisseck to bring in Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace during the January transfer window,
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 25-year-old England international has emerged as Chivu’s top defensive target, with Inter eager to strengthen early rather than wait until the summer.
Guehi’s contract expires in June, and the Nerazzurri initially hoped to secure him on a free transfer.
However, growing competition from Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Liverpool may force them to act sooner.
That has led to the idea of a player-plus-cash proposal, with Bisseck potentially moving in the opposite direction.
The German defender has shown flashes of potential this season.
However, he remains behind Akanji and Bastoni in the pecking order, and could be included to facilitate a deal.
Gazzetta adds that Guehi’s refusal to renew with Palace makes him a realistic target.
Indeed, Inter would need to move quickly to avoid being drawn into a bidding war next summer.
