AC Milan have not lost sight of Anderlecht playmaker Yari Verschaeren and are hoping to use a positive relationship with the Belgian side to close the deal, a report claims.
Calciomercato.com reports that the Rossoneri have a concrete interest in signing the 21-year-old who came through the youth sector at Anderlecht, but they are aware that there are other teams – including Paris Saint-Germain – who are keen on signing him.
Directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara could use the excellent relationship they have with the Belgian club to negotiate a deal for Verschaeren, after the Alexis Saelemaekers operation which was closed in such a short time.
Contacts between the parties are continuing over the attacking midfielder who can also play as a winger. The scouting department will once again go to watch him at the weekend in the Jupiler League match against Beerschot.
With his contract expiring in 2024, Verschaeren has a valuation of around €10m but before making an offer Milan want to have a complete evaluation.
