Manchester United picked up their second win on the bounce in the Premier League on Saturday, beating Southampton 1-0 at St. Mary’s.

I don’t think Ten Hag will want to make too many changes to a side that is winning football matches when that is something this team has struggled to do for the past year.

Without further ado, here’s the Stretty News predicted line-up to face Leicester City on Thursday night.

Goalkeeper

David de Gea kept his first clean sheet of the season against Southampton. Far from ideal in Ten Hag’s system, but I don’t fancy Tom Heaton as back-up option. The Spaniard needs better competition.

Defence

There is no reason to change the back four for this game. Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia are gaining a bit of momentum at the moment. I wouldn’t disrupt that now.

Midfield

Casemiro is likely to make his full debut against Leicester City, lining up alongside Fred and Bruno Fernandes. I think Ten Hag will give Eriksen a breather before United take on Arsenal this weekend, while Scott McTominay is unlucky to miss out after performing well against the Saints.

Attack

I have a feeling Cristiano Ronaldo won’t be available for selection on Thursday night (deadline day), but I could be very wrong. Marcus Rashford disappointed in the no. 9 role last time out and needs to start showing more as an option when United are attacking. Jadon Sancho and Anthony Elanga on the flanks. Hopefully Antony’s visa will be sorted out in time to face Arsenal.

SN’s predicted XI: De Gea; Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia; Casemiro, Fred, Fernandes; Sancho, Rashford, Elanga.
