Chelsea’s young striker Armando Broja is in hot demand.

The forward has picked up a lot of interest after a really strong debut Premier League season, and now has big sides like Newcastle interested in him.

CaughtOffside are today reporting that the newly rich team from the North East have made a “formal enquiry” about the Albania international after missing out on Hugo Ekitike from Rennes.

Now in this case, we’re not quite sure what “formal enquiry” means – an email to Petr Cech rather than a Whatsapp to Broja’s agent? But in any case, it makes it sound like the Magpies are serious in this case.

Whether Chelsea should sell is a very different question. They’re about to offload Romelu Lukaku, and will then be truly short up front.

Unless the guys upstairs have something in mind, letting Broja go seems a risky move. He’s got talent, and we need strikers. What’s the issue?
