SPORT reports that Real Madrid have identified Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as Vinícius’ ideal replacement. The Brazilian is reportedly unhappy under Xabi Alonso and has been in ongoing contract talks for a long time now. Clubs in Saudi Arabia are interested in signing Vinicius if he becomes available.

Transfer insider Graeme Bailey recently told The Chelsea Chronicle that Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly would love to land a “generational player” like Vinicius, even if it goes against the club’s targeting of younger, developing talents.

Bailey added that Boehly is especially drawn to the “commercial gains” the Real Madrid star could bring to Stamford Bridge. Saudi clubs remain interested in Vinicius and are willing to offer him massive wages, but Bailey noted that the forward “does not want to go” to the Middle East.

Instead, Chelsea, Manchester City, and Liverpool are seen as his primary Premier League suitors, with a move to England becoming increasingly attractive to him. Additionally, Bailey still believes the most likely outcome is Vinicius signing a new deal with Real Madrid, though he’s reportedly “not happy” and feels “unsettled” in Spain.
