Chelsea haven’t given up on signing Morgan Rogers and believe they can agree a deal with Aston Villa according to reports.

The Blues have already made three attacking signings in Jamie Gittens, Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, whilst another attacker arriving hasn’t been ruled out.

Noni Madueke has joined rivals Arsenal, with Christopher Nkunku and Joao Felix also expected to depart this summer.

Chelsea haven’t given up on Morgan Rogers

Chelsea reportedly want as many as eight or nine attacking options in their squad to rotate between next season as they prepare for their return to the Champions League.

The Blues have been linked with a number of names such as Mohammed Kudus, who’s now joined Tottenham, and Hugo Ekitike, who’s thought to be closing in on a move to Liverpool.

Chelsea have also been linked with Xavi Simons, but one of their main targets is Villa star Rogers, although a deal could be difficult to pull off.

Rogers is reportedly Chelsea’s dream transfer target, and it’s thought Villa are looking for around £80m for the England international.

It’s unclear if Chelsea will make a serious approach at this point, but TBR Football have reported the Blues haven’t given up on signing the 22-year-old.

The report adds Chelsea are looking to include players, which could prove key in getting Villa to agree to a deal.

TBR add Trevoh Chalobah, Tosin Adarabioyo and Benoit Badiashile could be offered, whilst Villa are said to be interested in Nicolas Jackson.

Chelsea could turn to Xavi Simons

If a move for Rogers isn’t possible then Chelsea could turn their attention to RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Xavi Simons.

Chelsea are said to be alert to the situation surrounding Simons, and it’s thought his agent could offer the Dutch international to the Blues.

It’s thought Leipzig would be looking for more than the €50m they paid Paris Saint Germain to sign the 22-year-old in January, but it could be a situation to watch.
