According to reports in Belgium, Kevin De Bruyne has given his preference to Napoli and scheduled a call so he can speak directly to coach Antonio Conte.
The Manchester City midfielder will be a free agent when his contract expires on June 30 and is looking for his next adventure after a long spell at the Premier League side.
There were already reports of negotiations and Napoli are certainly helped by the fact De Bruyne loves the area so much, he chose Sorrento – near Naples – as the venue for his wedding.
Now Belgian transfer expert Sacha Tavolieri claims on Sky Sport that Napoli have offered him a two-year contract with option to extend for a third season.
De Bruyne has reportedly given the green light and is waiting to see what the salary proposal will entail, knowing full well that nobody in Europe can match the current wages he commands at Manchester City, namely €20m per season gross.
Tavolieri also insists that a call has been scheduled to speak directly with coach Conte, even though it remains to be seen if he will be on the Napoli bench again next season.
