Inter Milan are still hoping to lower the fee for Parma defender Giovanni Leoni by offering striker Sebastiano Esposito plus cash.
This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, via FCInterNews.
Inter Milan are keen to sign Parma defender Giovanni Leoni.
The 19-year-old has clearly emerged as Inter’s top target in defense for the summer transfer window.
Inter had already taken an interest in Leoni already last summer. And the season that he had at Parma has really solidified their interest – particularly his form under coach Cristian Chivu.
There’s no doubt that Parma want big money for Esposito. The Gialloblu are reportedly hoping for a fee of at least €40 million for the teenage defender.
Inter, on the other hand, have been hoping for a deal no higher than €30 million.
And according to SportMediaset, Inter could have an ace in the hole.
The broadcaster report that the Nerazzurri are ready to offer striker Sebastiano Esposito as part of a deal for Leoni.
Therefore, Inter could aim to bring the cash fee for Leoni to within reach. Esposito is all but certain to leave Inter for good this summer one way or the other.
