Juventus continue to remain optimistic in hopes they can sign Inter midfielder Davide Frattesi, reports from Italy claim, despite the Nerazzurri attempts to negotiate a contract renewal with the player.

According to what was reported by Italian newspaper La Repubblica, via TuttoMercatoWeb, Juventus GM Damien Comolli is aware that signing the midfielder, especially from such rivals as Inter, is a particularly difficult objective. However, the reports suggest that discussions between the Bianconeri and the player’s entourage will continue.

On the same hand, negotiations with Inter will also continue as Giuseppe Marotta and other senior officials at the Nerazzurri aim to tie the former Sassuolo man to a new deal.

High-flyer Frattesi in demand

Since signing for Inter from Sassuolo in 2023, the midfielder has established himself as an important part of the Nerazzurri set up. He has played 89 times for Inter in all competitions and has also seen himself become a key player for Italy, with 29 caps in the last 3 and a half years.

It is no surprise, then, that Frattesi would be the subject of interest from other clubs. Despite currently suffering from a groin injury, Juventus and Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are both reportedly keen on the 25-year-old. However, Inter will look to extend his current deal, which is set to expire in 2028, with better terms for the player.
