Neil El Aynaoui is set to join Roma for €25m, but the Giallorossi remain in talks for Richard Ríos, Wesley and Evan Ferguson.
Roma are set to complete their first summer signing, welcoming Lens midfielder El Aynaoui for €25m plus add-ons.
This doesn’t mean the Giallorossi won’t also try to sign Rios from Palmeiras.
The Brazilian club have reiterated that the minimum price tag for their midfielder is €30m, which means the Giallorossi’s latest proposals around €25/27m plus add-ons won’t satisfy their demands.
Now, it’s up to Roma to decide whether to match Palmeiras’ requests. The Serie A side are aware that they can only sign Rios if they offer a fixed €30m fee.
In the meantime, Brazilian right-back Wesley is still waiting for an agreement between his club Flamengo and Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
The Giallorossi have recently submitted an improved offer and could send a third proposal as well, should Flamengo ask for more money.
Roma are also busy in the attacking department as they are working to finalise Ferguson’s loan move from Brighton.
