Tottenham have edge over Man United in transfer race, but target undecided on his future

Real Betis midfielder Johnny Cardoso has been linked with a move to the Premier League at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur have an option to sign him for a fee of around €25 million this summer. They secured an agreement with Real Betis when they sold Giovani Lo Celso to the Spanish club.

It will be interesting to see if they exercise the clause and bring the American International to the club in the summer. They could use more quality and depth in the middle of the park, and the 23-year-old could be the ideal acquisition. He has shown his ability in La Liga, and he has the physical and technical attributes to do well in the Premier League as well.

Can Spurs convince the player?

Meanwhile, a report from Eldesmarque claims that the player is undecided about his future. Even though Tottenham have the option to sign him, the final decision will rest with the midfielder.

It remains to be seen whether Spurs can convince him to join. The 23-year-old could prove to be a bargain acquisition for €25 million this summer.

It would be a major step up in his career, and he would get to fight for trophies in England. Tottenham and Manchester United have had a disappointing season this year, but they have a quality team and the resources to build a formidable side. They will be hoping to bounce back strongly and fight for trophies next year. A quality midfielder like Cardoso will certainly help them improve.
