Tottenham Receive Major Transfer Boost as PSG Flop Unlikely to Make Serie A Return

Skriniar is discovering the downside of being a free agent after signing with PSG. Attracted by Paris’ dream salary conditions, the Slovak defender finds himself in a complicated situation two years later. On the market, it is nearly impossible for him to find a club capable of matching his salary.

In an interview with Sport24Sk, Skriniar’s agent, Martin Petras, did not hide the difficulties his player is facing (h/t Foot Parisian):

“Skriniar made a name for himself in Italy, and for that reason, he is still in the minds of the top Serie A clubs. However, I think his move to AC Milan or another Italian club is unlikely.”

“Milan has a colossal salary, and in Italy, they will probably not be able to afford it with the taxes and contributions. With all these expenses, they would almost have to double it and pay him nearly 20 million euros per year. In my opinion, not just anyone in Serie A would pay that today.”
